Police: Dorchester Woman Drove Drunk With 18-Month-Old In Back Seat

EASTON (CBS) -- Easton Police arrested a woman who they say was driving around Sunday evening with an open bottle of vodka in her car--and her 18-month-old son unsecured in the back seat.

Bridget Stone, 31 of Dorchester, was charged with OUI liquor, child endangerment, negligent operation, and operation with an open container of alcohol.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, a caller told police they saw a blue Chevy Malibu swerving and crossing the yellow line several times near Bay Road and Rockland Street. That caller stayed on the phone with police while following the car in order to pass on information.

Officers found the Malibu in the parking lot of a CVS on Depot Street.

They found an open bottle of Smirnoff vodka. They also found that Stone's 18-month-old son was in the back seat of the car and was not in a child safety seat.

Stone was arrested after a series of sobriety exercises, and her sister was called to pick up the child.
