BOSTON (CBS) - The FBI is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a member of a violent Brockton gang.

The Boston FBI office says they'll pay $5,000 for a tip that leads to the arrest of Diego Barros Pires. Pires, also known as "Smurf" or "Do It" is wanted for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of one adult and two minors in Brockton and Quincy.

He was indicted on these charges March 22 and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Pires is from Cape Verde, but is now a U.S. citizen. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

His last known residence was at 5 Madrid Square, Apartment 7 in Brockton.

Authorities also say he should be regarded as armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 857-386-2000.
