Parachuting Santa Injured After Hard Landing At Quincy Event

QUINCY (CBS) – A parachuting Santa Claus suffered injuries while landing at an event in Quincy Saturday afternoon.

The event began after noon, with skydiving Santa and his elf landing at Pageant Field.

But Santa made a hard landing due to the wind, and was taken to an area by area hospital.

He was conscious and alert after landing.

The Quincy Fire Department did not know the extent of the man's injuries.

Santa's jump was initially planned during a holiday festival last weekend, but was postponed due to low clouds.
