2 Dead After Car Slams Into Tree In Milton

MILTON (CBS) - Family and friends are overcome by the sudden loss of a couple killed in a fiery crash on Brush Hill Road in Milton early Friday morning.

Neon Allen was a passenger in the front seat when the car slammed into a tree. "He is really a great, terrific human being. Very ambitious, a go getter," said his friend Nadine Dacres.

Allen's girlfriend Nina Lewis was behind the wheel of the car, a young woman remembered as an outgoing personality. "She was somebody nobody else could be," said her cousin Koran Hall. "You could hear it in her voice."

Friends say at the time of the crash they were returning from a Brockton club where Allen, a popular disc jockey known as DJ Spoogie, was spinning tunes and celebrating Lewis' birthday.

Neighbor Andy Melhado heard the impact, saw the flames and ran to help, only able to free a third victim in the backseat. "I broke the windows, the driver's side, the passenger side," he said. "I tried as best I could to get those individuals out of the car, but the fire was so intense."

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash that happened around 3:30 a.m.

Nina Lewis' cousin is haunted by this loss. "Her father died in a car accident about ten years ago. It just shouldn't go down like this," said Hall.
