CHARLTON (CBS) — One person is dead after a fire broke out in a building in Charlton Wednesday afternoon.

The Massachusetts State Fire Services office and State Police confirmed the death of an elderly man as a result of the blaze.

Firefighters were called to the location on Berry Corner Road around 1:30 p.m.

The state fire marshal, Worcester County detectives and crime scene services were called to the scene by the Charlton Fire Department.
