Keller @ Large: 2016 National Turkeys Of The Year

BOSTON (CBS) - There are many local traditions associated with the Thanksgiving holiday and for more than two decades, WBZ's Jon Keller has put together an annual list of the biggest Turkeys of the Year.

Keller says it gets harder every year to narrow the list down, but the four "winners" he picked live up to the definition of a turkey with behavior that was stupid, inept, disastrous, or in some cases, all of the above.

Gary Johnson

As candidate gaffes go, this was a beauty; Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson was unable to identify the city at the center of Syria's bloody civil war. When Johnson a few weeks later couldn't name a single foreign leader he admired, even he knew what to call it – "an Aleppo moment."

Paul LePage

Since taking office six years ago, Maine Governor Paul LePage has been a controversy-generating machine. But he grabs Turkey Of The Year honors for his unreal diatribe against a state representative he thought had called him a racist.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Why was a crowd heckling Democratic National Committee head Debbie Wasserman Schultz? Because of emails showing she violated her vow of neutrality in the party primaries, boosting Hillary Clinton and disparaging the Bernie Sanders campaign.

Kanye West

According to the latest headlines, Kanye West says he didn't vote but would have voted for Donald Trump, dissed his fans by cutting a concert short after onstage ranting, and abruptly canceled his tour. What's next for this superstar turkey?
