Apple Offers Free Battery Replacement To Fix iPhone 6s Shutdown Issue

CUPERTINO, Calif. (CBS) – Apple is dealing with its own smartphone battery issues.

While there's no Samsung-like safety risk, Apple says it will replace batteries in some of its 6s models because the phones unexpectedly shut down.

Apple says the defect only affects a small number of phones manufactured between September and October 2015.

Anyone who thinks they are eligible for a fix should make an appointment at an Apple store.
