Man Charged With Grabbing Teen Who Was Walking To Bus Stop

BOURNE (CBS) – An arrest has been made in the alleged assault of a 14-year-old who was walking to her bus stop last week.

Last Thursday, the victim says she was grabbed and thrown to the ground as she was walking along Puritan Road in Bourne. After an investigation, officers arrested 18-year-old John Allen, who lives on the road where the alleged assault took place.

The victim says she was grabbed by the neck, but a witness intervened. Allen has been charged with attempted aggravated kidnapping, strangulation and assault and battery.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
