Police Charge 19-Year-Old In Connection With Fatal Taunton Hit And Run

TAUNTON (CBS) -- A 19-year-old woman was arrested Sunday in connection with a fatal hit and run that happened last week, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's office.

Police arrested Cecily Kilsby-Munafo , of Taunton, and charged her with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and misleading police. Kilsby-Munafo is accused of leaving the scene after she allegedly hit and killed Michael Alfano, 36, of Taunton with her car.

According to the District Attorney's Office, Kilsby-Munafo was driving a Toyota Venza on Thursday when she allegedly struck Alfano, who was riding a bicycle at the intersection of Broadway and Washington Streets. Alfano died over the weekend.

Ryan O'Day, 26, of Taunton, was also charged in connection with the accident. Police charged O'Day with accessory after the fact.

Both Kilsby-Munafo and O'Day are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Taunton District Court.
