Brockton Gas Station Clerk Recounts Armed Robbery: 'I Was So Terrified'

BROCKTON (CBS) -- A Brockton gas station clerk says two masked men, armed with a gun and knife and dressed in all black, rushed into this SAAB energy gas station late Friday night and robbed her. Chrisi is thankful to be alive.

"I was so terrified because I thought they were going to stab me or shoot me, especially when they told me to go on the floor," she said.

Chrisi emptied out the cash register and gave the thieves all the money she had, but apparently it wasn't enough.

"They kept saying, 'where's the money, where's the money.' I wasn't saying anything. We don't have anymore money. And then they saw my pocketbook," she said.

The 43-year-old clerk says she's worked here for 3 years and never encountered anything like this.

"They told me go on the floor so I did and I thought they were going to shoot me or stab me and they left," Chris said.

She says this is the second time this gas station was robbed in the past week. The first time, the robbers cut the wires to the security camera--which is why this second robbery was not caught on tape.

"I was thinking I was going to end up in the hospital or even dead," Chrisi said.

She says the two men quickly took off with about $300 in cash and they are still on the loose.

"I don't know if they are going to come back again," she said.

Meanwhile she is not taking any chances and plans to lock the door when it gets dark.

"My boss told me to close the door at 8 p.m. and use the drawer on the side," Chrisi said. "That's one of the precautions."

Police are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact Brockton police.
