Teen Struck, Killed By SUV In Brockton

BROCKTON (CBS) – A teenager has died after he was struck by a SUV in Brockton Tuesday night.

The young teenager was riding his bicycle when he was hit at the intersection of Main and Plain Streets.

Brockton Mayor Bill Carpenter says investigators spent at least several hours trying to figure out the teen's identity.

"The victim is a boy, guessing an age of 12 or 13 but we really don't know," Carpenter said. "We're working really closely with school officials and the cell phone that the boy had to try to get an ID."

The driver of the SUV is 18-years old and stopped at the scene of the crash. Carpenter says the driver was visibly shaken and no charges have been filed.
