Three Killed In Head-On Crash On Route 195 In Westport
WESTPORT (CBS) -- Three people were killed in a head-on crash on Route 195 Wednesday morning.
It happened between Exits 10 and 11 in the eastbound lanes in Westport just after 8 a.m.
State Police said a livery vehicle, a Dodge Caravan, crossed the grass median and hit a white BMW head-on on the other side of the highway.
The driver of the livery vehicle and one of his passengers were killed, along with the female driver of the BMW. The driver of the BMW has been identified as a 23-year-old from New Bedford.
No other information is available at this point in the investigation.
Route 195 east was completely closed between exits 10 and 11 for several hours. Traffic was diverted onto Route 88.
