State Police Employee Among 4 Dead In Greenfield House Fire
GREENFIELD (CBS/AP) — Authorities say three adults and one child were killed in an early morning fire at a home in Massachusetts.
State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey and Greenfield fire Chief Robert Strahan say it happened early Sunday at a single-family home on Meridian Street in Greenfield.
Massachusetts State Police identified one of the victims as Brian Tower, a radio technician who worked for the organization for 28 years. Tower's wife, Florenda, her son Raymond Wood, and Raymond's 5-year-old son, William Paul Clark also died in the fire, according to State Police.
"Brian was a member of our State Police family, and as such, his loved ones were also part of our family," Colonel Richard D. McKeon, superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police, said in a public statement.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
