HULL (CBS) – A young deer got into some deep trouble on Thursday.

The animal control service that covers Hull, Cohasset and Norwell said the fawn fell down into a 25-foot deep pit at a water treatment plan.

Authorities got into the pit and were able to corral the deer, throw a tarp over it, and hoist it out of the pit.

Back above ground, video shows that the deer appeared to be OK, and bounded away after it was released.

Workers from the treatment plant, Hull police and firefighters all pitched in to rescue the deer.
