Accused Allston Home Invader Pepper Sprays Police

ALLSTON (CBS) - Peter Ye says he was in his bedroom getting ready to step out when out of nowhere a man broke into his apartment by crawling through his third story window on St. Luke's street in Allston.

"He climbed the rope from roof and he stood on my desk. Then he said just let me go or I will kill you. I tried to stop him and he grabbed me by the neck and he hit me in my left face," Ye said.

Peter says the two fought for about three minutes before the suspect ran out of his room and down the street. When police arrived they approached the man who then began spraying pepper spray at police.

Resident Dustin Shigaki says the man have been living behind his apartment.

"One of the cops told me he had physiological problems," Dustin said.

Police chased the suspect down a back alley where they arrested him. Police say this man has been eluding them for quite a while. He now faces a number of charges including assault and battery. He will be arraigned on Tuesday.
