Sturbridge Police Seek Man After Violent Disturbance

STURBRIDGE (CBS) – Police are searching for a man after a woman and child were injured during an incident at a Sturbridge home.

On Friday just before 7 p.m. police were called to Vinton Road for a disturbance.

Officers found a juvenile who had a wound to his arm. He was transported to UMass Medical Center where he underwent surgery and is in stable condition.

A woman was taken to Harrington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police identified the suspect as 42-year-old Brent Young. They say Young fled the scene while suffering from a self-inflicted wound to his neck.

Young was last seen wearing jeans and black and white sneakers. Police say Young may be shirtless.

The search for Young is considered "active and ongoing" and it is not known how serious his injuries are.

Anyone who sees Young should call 911.
