NEW BEDFORD (CBS) – A woman will be charged with reckless endangerment of a child after a Facebook video showed her going into a New Bedford convenience store and leaving a young child unattended in the car.

Police say 20-year-old Breanna Magrath of Acushnet was seen in the video inside Gas Express on Tarklin Hill Road while her child was left alone in her running car.READ MORE: MassDOT Urges Drivers To Be ‘Aggressively Nice’ With Traffic Returning To Pre-Pandemic Levels
The car windows were open, but Magrath left the child unattended for several minutes.

After an investigation prompted by the video, New Bedford Police said Magrath will be issued a summons and the Department of Child and Family Services will open its own investigation.
