Stop & Shop: $75 Coupon Seen On Facebook Is Fake

QUINCY (CBS) – If you see a coupon advertising $75 off at Stop & Shop, it's too good to be true.

The supermarket chain clarified this week that it's a fake and it can't be redeemed at Stop & Shop.

The fraudulent coupon asks people to take a survey to claim the coupon. Stop & Shop says shoppers shouldn't be sharing their personal information with anyone claiming to represent the supermarket.

"We have reported this fraudulent coupon to Facebook directly and we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience to customers that this may have caused."
