Jay Talking Summer Highlight: The 4th Of July Fireworks Spectacular
One of the highlights of each summer here at CBS Boston and WBZ NewsRadio 1030 is the Fourth Of July Fireworks Spectacular. This video includes material from three different years, including footage taken from a Marlborough St. rooftop this year and rare footage with Joe Mathieu from the Hatch Shell stage during the Boston Pops performance. It also features extreme close-up images of the fireworks finale that seem to take you right inside the explosive maelstrom. I chose to release this video near summer's end as a nostalgic look back rather than as a current event because, as the media was flooded with images at the time, it will mean more now.
