Bear Cubs Frolic In Backyard Of New Hampshire Home
HANOVER, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire woman recorded video as a family of bears spent a summer morning playing in her backyard.
Jamie Seaton said she was enjoying her coffee in the backyard when a mother bear climbed the fence to her neighbor's home and took the bird feeder before climbing back into her yard. She hopped inside her home and began to record video.
Seaton's home is located near downtown Hanover, not far from the campus of Dartmouth College.
For about a half hour, the mother bear went back and forth between the two yards while her cubs played with a rope swing and climbed a tree.
After leaving Seaton's home, the mother bear knocked over a trash can, picked up the bag that was inside and walked away.
"I hope they made it home safely," Seaton told WBZ-TV, adding that the bear sighting is very rare for the area.
