Milton Park Ranger Charged With Secretly Videotaping Women In Bathroom

MILTON (CBS) -- A Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Park Ranger is under arrest after police say he secretly videotaped women using a bathroom at the Houghton's Pond Bathhouse in Milton.

Police say Raymond McKinnon, 30, of Hyde Park, set up a pen camera in the unisex staff bathroom. Another DCR employee using the bathroom spotted the hidden camera pen after noticing a small green light flashing and turned it in to State Police.

"They noticed that the pen had an SD card inside," said prosecutor Jessica Brokaw. "The SD card was inserted into a State Police computer, and as a result images were obtained and certain videos, mostly lifeguards at Houghton's Pond seen going to the bathroom."

McKinnon was arrested at his home on Saturday.

In 2013, McKinnon received The Friends Network DCR Friend of the Year Award for his service to the Blue Hills Reservation.

"The safety and security of all visitors and employees is of the utmost importance to the Department of Conservation and Recreation," said DCR spokesman Troy Wall. "The DCR is deeply disturbed by these allegations, and remains committed to assisting the State Police as they continue their investigation."

Houghton's Pond was closed to the public Monday as investigators met with the park staff. According to police, there are no other suspects.

He appeared in court on Monday and was ordered held on $10,000 bail.
