Revolution Players Bowl Strikes, Raise $75K For Special Olympics
BOSTON (CBS) -- The New England Revolution hit the lanes on Tuesday night, rolling strikes to raise money for the Special Olympics Massachusetts.
Revolution players, coaches and fans tossed on their bowling shirts and hit Splitsville Lanes in Foxboro for the 2nd annual Bowl for a Goal event on Tuesday night. Special Olympic athletes got the chance to hang out with their favorite Revolution players and knock down some pins, all while raising $75,000 for a great cause.
New England goalkeeper Brad Knighton was the night's highest scorer, which helped his team bring home the Bowl for a Goal trophy.
All proceeds from Bowl for a Goal will benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts and help provide year-round sports training, athletic competitions, and programming for more than 13,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities annually.
