Man Dies After Being Pulled From Bridgewater Pool

BRIDGEWATER (CBS) -- A man who was pulled from a swimming pool Saturday evening has died, Bridgewater Police said.

The Bridgewater Fire Department said they responded to the Axis Apartments on Summit Drive around 5:49 p.m. Saturday.

They said the 56-year-old man had been pulled from the pool, behind one of the buildings in the complex, before they arrived. A Good Samaritan was performing CPR on the man when police arrived.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 6:30 p.m.

Police said the man lived at the apartment complex.

Authorities weren't yet sure what happened or how he ended up in the water.
