Boston-Bound Plane Has Close Call With Drone
BOSTON (CBS) – A United Airlines flight had a close call with a drone as it flew toward Logan Airport Thursday morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the crew of United 992 reported the drone about 10 miles northeast of Boston around 10:30 a.m.
According to the FAA, the pilot did not need to take evasive action to avoid the drone.
Massachusetts State Police have been notified of the incident and the FAA will investigate.
The United plane was arriving in Boston following a flight from Chicago.
