Toucher & Rich Nominated For 2016 Marconi Award

BOSTON – The voices behind Boston's top rated morning show were announced Tuesday as finalists for a prestigious National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Award. 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher and Rich were nominated as Major Market Personality of the Year.

Each year the Marconi Awards honor radio stations and on-air personalities for excellence in broadcasting. The awards are regarded by industry professionals as the top honor in radio broadcasting.

The team of Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb was among five announced finalists. They were also nominated in 2014.

Additional Marconi finalists representing CBS Boston include WZLX, a finalist for Rock Station of the Year; and WBZ NewsRadio 1030 in the News/Talk Station of the Year category.

The 2016 NAB Marconi Radio Awards winners will be announced September 22.
