$40,000 Motorcycle Stolen From Salisbury Storage Trailer

SALISBURY (CBS) -- Police are asking the public for help finding a stolen motorcycle the owner says is valued at around $40,000.

The orange 2007 Iron Horse chopper was stolen from a locked storage trailer in the Main Street area of Salisbury, police said. They believe it was stolen between 4 p.m. Sunday and 8 p.m. Monday.

Police said the lock on the trailer was broken off, and a key to the motorcycle was also stolen. They said they are currently processing fingerprint and DNA evidence from the scene.

"Because of the motorcycle's unique style and color, it should stick out if observed," Salisbury Police said in a release Tuesday.

The motorcycle has a Florida registration plate.
