Diver Who Died In Apparent Drowning Off Sandwich Coast Identified

SANDWICH (CBS) -- A diver who died in an apparent drowning off the coast of a Sandwich beach Saturday has been identified by authorities as 55-year-old Michael Dearth of Orleans.

Dearth had been diving for lobsters off Town Neck Beach before he was found floating in his dive gear near his boat, according to the Barnstable District Attorney's Office.

Investigators say no foul play is suspected. The cause of death has not been determined.

The incident remains under investigation.
