That may still be the case, but according to a report by The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Boston is on a short list of teams who will have the opportunity to make their pitch to Durant during an in-person meeting this summer.

Wojnarowski reported that the Celtics, Warriors, Clippers, Heat, Spurs and Thunder will be receiving invitations to meet with Durant starting July 1.

Despite the likely meeting, Boston may remain on the outside looking in when it comes to Durant. The Vertical reports that a return to the Thunder is most likely, though Durant is also intrigued about potentially joining the Warriors.
