New LED TV Uses Sound Waves To Keep Mosquitoes Away

SEOUL (CBS) – What if you could keep mosquitoes away just by getting a new TV?

In India, LG is selling a new LED TV that contains "Mosquito Away Technology." It uses sound waves that humans can't hear to repel the pests.

"The ultrasonic sound waves effectively drives away the mosquitoes, keeping your loved ones absolutely safe at home," LG says.

The technology involves no harmful chemicals and is odor-free, according to LG. It also works even when the TV is turned off.
