LITTLETON (CBS) — A 55-year-old driver was seriously hurt in a rollover crash on Interstate 495 Saturday in Littleton.

The crash happened on the southbound side of the highway near exit 31 around 7:30 p.m. The injured driver, a Milford man, lost control of his 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and crashed into the median before coming to rest on the northbound side, State Police say.

Firefighters freed the man from the truck, and then all lanes of the highway were shut down so he could be flown by medical helicopter to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The injured driver has not been identified by investigators.

All lanes were reopened about an hour later. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
