Police say 32-year-old Van Truong answered the door but refused to let the officers in. Police were able to push back and arrest Truong.

When Truong slammed the door on officers, they suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police say they discovered a large growing operation in the basement that included 400 marijuana plants, lights, fertilizer, fans, electrical transformers, and packaging material.

In addition, 31-year-old Richard Marko, was arrested earlier in the day in connection with the investigation.

Truong and Marko face numerous charges between them including Manufacturing Class D Substance, Possession of Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Conspiracy to Violate Controlled Substance Laws.

Worcester Police credit a neighborhood watch program with providing information that led to the arrest.

Neighbors say Marko had been bragging about the Mercedes he bought with $28,000 in cash.

Two surveillance cameras that were attached to house were seized by police.
