Warren Calls Trump 'Racist' And 'Sexist' Before Marching In Boston Pride Parade
BOSTON (CBS) -- Speaking at a Boston Pride worship service Saturday morning at the Old South Church in the city, Sen. Elizabeth Warren pulled no punches when it comes to attacking Donald Trump.
"There is a man who hopes to be the leader of this great nation and he hopes to get there by hating others," she said.
"He is a racist, sexist man and there is still a big fight to come."
This week, Warren endorsed Hillary Clinton and met privately with the Democratic presidential candidate to discuss strategies on how they will work together in the general election to defeat Trump.
Trump blasted Warren at a rally in Virginia, calling her one of the worst senators in history.
During the pride service, Warren lashed out at the Republican presidential candidate for his stance on immigration and called him a bully who must be stopped.
"Everyone in this room knows about bullies," she said. "The only way to beat bullies is we stand up and fight back."
Warren was presented with the church's Open Door Award Saturday in recognition of her work on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community.
She later marched in the pride parade in Boston.
