Observations From Day 3 Of Patriots Minicamp

BOSTON (CBS) -- The New England Patriots wrapped up their mandatory three-day on Thursday, a warm and windy day at Gillette Stadium.

There were no fights or tussles on the field, but the Patriots still put in a lot of work on Thursday. Here are some observations from the final session:

Lots Of Players Still Missing

A total of 15 Patriots were not suited up for the final session of minicamp: Danny Amendola, LeGarrette Blount, Nate Ebner, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Duron Harmon, Tre' Jackson, C.J. Johnson, Josh Kline, Dion Lewis, Shaq Mason, Logan Ryan, Nate Solder, Sebastian Vollmer and Michael Williams.

Williams is likely heading to IR after the tight end reportedly tore his ACL on Wednesday.

As for who did practice, Malcolm Mitchell, Brandon Bolden and Clay Harbor all returned to the field on Thursday.

Another Injury

Foster, who went undrafted last month, was in the mix in a crowded crop of running backs as well as on special teams.

Quarterback Snapshot

Brady was his usual sharp self, while the other two quarterbacks each threw a pass to the defense.

Rookie receiver Malcolm Mitchell had a nice one-handed catch in the end zone from Brissett.
