Moody was the mother of both boys, and Joshua Harrison was the father of his younger namesake and the stepfather of Jay Michael Garon. The family lived on the second floor.

"These brothers were my life, they were my children," said Amy Moody, the boys' step-sister. "This is something I won't be able to get over."

The Medical Examiner's Office has classified the cause of their deaths as smoke inhalation.

"I'm going to miss those boys. They would have been there today," said Eddie Torres of the Roca Kidz Club. "They would have been there today with me and their friends. It's just tragic."

Members of the Roca Kidz Club, a program the boys belonged to shared their grief with a group hug.

"The boys were very happy boys," said Jamie Wintle. "They always had smiles on their faces. They were rambunctious. They're boys, you know. But they were always willing to help at Roca at homework club."

A cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but the building's back porches were being investigated as a possible point of origin.

"Investigators from federal, state, and local agencies continue to collaborate and work as one cohesive unit to ensure that all aspects of this tragedy are thoroughly and completely investigated," State Fire Marshal Degnan said.

Investigators say there is no ongoing public safety concern.
