Bunk Beds Sold At Bob's Discount Furniture Recalled For Fall Risk

MANCHESTER, Conn. (CBS) – About 20,000 bunk beds sold at Bob's Discount Furniture are being recalled following reports of children and adults falling from the bed.

The Chadwick bunk beds manufactured by Hillsdale Furniture were sold nationwide and online at MyBobs.com from August 2010 to July 2014 for about $400. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the bunk bed's side mattress support rails can crack or break, creating a fall hazard.

So far, there have been about 650 reports of bed support rails cracking or breaking Eight children and adults have been hurt after falling from the bed.

Bob's is reaching out to people who bought the bed, and customers should stop using it immediately. A free installation of free replacement rails can be arranged by contacting Hillsdale Furniture.
