Lynnfield House Fire Set Intentionally, Investigators Say

LYNNFIELD (CBS) -- Investigators say a two-alarm fire that broke out early Saturday morning at a Lynnfield home was set on purpose.

Firefighters responded to the house fire on Main Street around 3 a.m.

"Someone was driving by, saw the fire, stopped and laid on the horn and got us out of bed," one of the residents told WBZ-TV. "Lucky that person was driving by.

"We would have been in serious trouble if somebody didn't stop and wake us up because it spread fast."

No one was hurt in the blaze.

The Fire Marshal's Office continues to investigate, with help from Lynnfield police and fire departments.

No additional information was immediately available.
