AUBURN (CBS) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for Auburn Police Officer Ronald Tarentino, who was shot and killed during a Sunday traffic stop.

The Auburn Police Department announced that a wake will be held for Tarentino on Thursday from 2-7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Charlton.

A funeral will then take place Friday at 11 a.m. inside St. Joseph’s Church.

Tarentino will be buried at Greenville Baptist Church cemetery in the Rochdale section of Leicester.

On Sunday, police say Tarentino was shot and killed by 35-year-old Jorge Zambrano during a traffic stop.

Zambrano was killed about 18 hours later after exchanging gunfire with police in an Oxford apartment.

A memorial fund has been started in Tarentino’s honor.
