Boston Considering Pedestrian-Only Streets During Summer

BOSTON (CBS) - Is Boston making strides towards walking-only streets? One tweet would suggest yes.

During a Twitter conversation with the city, user Adam Castiglioni asked, "How about closing streets like Newbury, Union, and Hanover to traffic on certain days in the Summer?"

The City's Twitter handle replied, "We're actively looking into this at several locations around the city. Stay tuned for info later this summer."

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh told WBZ that issue is being discussed.
