Boston Police Officer Injured During Brush Fire In Back Bay Fens
BOSTON (CBS) -- Firefighters battled a large brush fire in The Fens Thursday afternoon.
The fire started around 2:20p.m. near the Muddy River.
Officials say a fire happens a few times a year in the area.
Park Drive at Boylston, the Fenway at Agassiz and Queensbury at Jersey Street were closed as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
A Boston police officer was transported to the hospital. No word on the extent of the officer's injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
