Daily Talker: Harriet Tubman To Replace Andrew Jackson On $20

Harriet Tubman will become the first African-American to adorn US paper currency and the first woman depicted on US currency in 100 years.

Tubman will replace President Andrew Jackson on the front of the $20 bill. Jackson will be moved to the back of the bill.

Tubman escaped slavery and helped others to freedom as a conductor on the Underground Railroad. A young girl from Cambridge helped make this happen.

Sofia wrote a letter to President Obama urging him to put a woman on US paper currency. Sofia turned 11 years old yesterday. She got a special call from President Obama's senior advisor telling her the news. Sofia says this is the "greatest birthday present ever."

Many are applauding this move. What do you think?
