Phantom Gourmet: French Cuisine In Greater Boston
BOSTON (CBS) -- If you're craving French cuisine, there are several popular Boston area restaurants you can give a go. Dan Andelman of Phantom Gourmet recently gave some of them a try.
Les Zygomates on South Street is one of Boston's busiest French bistros, where the crowds come for live jazz, onion soup and steak frites.
Paul Bakery was founded in France 125 years ago, and they're now serving authentic breads, pastries, and croissants at stores in Somerville, Natick and Downtown Crossing.
Mistral on Columbus Avenue in the South End is stylish restaurant inspired by the south of France. The upscale but approachable menu includes standouts like tuna tartare with crispy wontons, ginger and soy and crispy profiteroles drizzled in dark chocolate.
You can also get a great French brasserie experience at Gaslight in the South End and their new location in Lynnfield. And for authentic crepes, check out Paris Creperie at Coolidge Corner in Brookline.
