MBTA Transit Police Ask Public To Help Name Dog

BOSTON (CBS) -- The newest member of the MBTA Transit Police will get the training and equipment he needs to serve the T--but what he really needs is a name.

Transit Police shared photos Tuesday on Twitter of a new K9 recruit, a Belgian Malinois, and asked the public to help name him.

So far, suggested names for the police dog include the serious, like naming him after Transit Police Sgt. Dic Donohue, wounded in the Boston Marathon bombing manhunt, and the not-so-serious--like naming him "Delay," "On Time," or "Doggy McBiteypants."
