Pablo Sandoval A Ferrari? More Like...

BOSTON (CBS) -- Sports agents blow a lot of hot air trying to get the best for their clients, but Pablo Sandoval's agent may have made things worse for the benched third baseman.

On Friday, a day after Sandoval found out that Travis Shaw would be starting at third for the Red Sox over him, Sandoval's agent Rick Thurman made a pretty comical statement to MLB Insider Jon Heyman:

"If you want to win, why leave the Ferrari in the garage?"

No, that was no April Fool's Day joke. And given Sandoval's rather large figure, that one comment sent social media into a frenzy.

Felger & Mazz discussed Thurman's comment on Friday's show, and say he's just made matters worse for his client and the Red Sox.

"It's such an unfortunate comment for him and the Red Sox. The Red Sox want us to stop making fun of them -- they need to stop giving us material every single day," said Felger. "This has now become a laughingstock."

Mazz suggested Sandoval was more of DeLorean -- expensive and useless.
