NightSide - Does Massachusetts Need More Charter Schools?

BOSTON (CBS) - One of the ways some have recommended we fix our struggling education system is to lift the cap on charter schools to increase school choice. Tonight Dan will be joined in studio by Juan Cofield, president of the New England Area Conference of the NAACP, and Gerard Robinson, former commissioner of education in Florida and former secretary of education in Virginia. The two will offer opposing viewpoints on the role charter schools should play in our modern education system, and whether or not Massachusetts should lift the cap. Do you think more charter schools would help increase opportunities for students? Or would it drain more resources from an already overburdened public education system?
