Harlem Globetrotters Bring World Tour To Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - The Harlem Globetrotters are in Boston to play a pair of games at the TD Garden Saturday night at 7:30 and Sunday afternoon at 1. The fan-favorites have additional games across New England throughout the month, which can be found on their schedule.
Two of the "Ambassadors of Goodwill," 21-year Globetrotters veteran Wun "The Shot" Versher and former overseas pro "El Gato" Melendez, visited WBZ NewsRadio 1030 morning sports anchor Adam Kaufman in studio Thursday to discuss the 2016 World Tour and their 90th anniversary season.
The group discussed how players are recruited to join the Globies, the most fun parts of the job, the rigorous travel, the process of learning all those fun tricks, which NBA players would fit best on the squad, and much, much more during their extensive chat, which you can hear below.
Kaufman also took "The Shot" and "El Gato" out to his court in the WBZ parking lot for some Globetrotters-style goofing around. Enjoy the highlights in the clip above!
