MBTA Commuter Rail Back To Full Service At South Station

BOSTON (CBS) – The MBTA says all trains will be running full service to South Station Friday.

The agency says Amtrak crews restored signal control there around 5:15 a.m.

The signal control went down Thursday morning, causing massive delays and cancellations to Amtrak and MBTA commuter rail trains.

MBTA General Manager Frank DePaola told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 crews worked all night and people can now board their commuter trains normally.

"We will no longer need to have passengers disembark at outlying stations," he said.
