Woman Found Dead In Malden Apartment

MALDEN (CBS) - A Malden death is now being called a homicide. The body of a woman was found inside a popular apartment complex Monday night.

Residents say as many as a half dozen officers responded to the Cliffside Commons apartment complex after nine o'clock Monday night.

The District Attorney's office says a woman was found dead inside a unit after officers performed a well-being check. Twenty four hours later, her death was ruled a homicide.

Residents say management sent out letters, alerting tenants of the incident.

Authorities confirm the homicide isn't random, but those who live in the building are still shaken. The woman's identity has not been released.
