Delays At Logan Airport, On T Due To Cold Weather

BOSTON (CBS) -- Travelers were experiencing delays both on the T and at the airport due to record-breaking cold temperatures Sunday morning.

A statement from Massachusetts Port Authority said that minor problems with ground equipment at Logan Airport were anticipated. They said flight delays have taken place, and encouraged passengers to check with their airlines for info on their flights.

The MBTA was experiencing severe delays Sunday morning due to a weather-related track problem at Assembly Square in Somerville, where crews used kerosene to realign a rail and make repairs.

The Green Line was also experiencing delays, due to disabled trains. Regular Orange Line service resumed around noon.
