Actress Jane Fonda To Be Honored At Coolidge Corner Theatre

BROOKLINE, Mass. (AP) — Award-winning actress Jane Fonda is being honored by a Massachusetts movie theater.

Fonda is scheduled to receive the Coolidge Award from the Coolidge Corner Theatre on Sunday for her impact on film and American culture.

She will attend a special afternoon screening of the 2015 film "Youth," for which she received a Golden Globe Best Supporting Actress nomination to be followed by an onstage conversation.

Fonda has been in more than 40 movies dating to the 1960s. She has been nominated for an Academy Award seven times and won twice, for "Klute" in 1972 and "Coming Home" in 1979.

She is also an author and has been an anti-war activist and advocate for environmentalism, feminism and teen health.

Previous winners include Meryl Streep, Viggo Mortensen and Jonathan Demme.
