Coldplay To Play Gillette Stadium In July 2016

FOXBORO (CBS) -- The Super Bowl 50 halftime show's main attraction is coming to Gillette Stadium this summer.

Coldplay announced Thursday that it will play in Foxboro on Saturday, July 30 as part of its U.S. stadium tour.

It's the first world tour for the rockers in about four years.

This year is shaping up to be a big one for concerts in Massachusetts. Adele is coming to the TD Garden in September, while Fenway Park's concert series will feature Pearl Jam, Billy Joel and James Taylor.

Tickets for Coldplay's Gillette Stadium show go on sale Friday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
